Golf franchise to open in Mansfield

Golf Etc., currently the fastest-growing national golf retail franchise in America, is excited to announce that their newest location will be opening in Mansfield at 920 U.S. 287 North (next to the Tom Thumb). The expected opening date is in early December. This location, a Golf Etc. Tech Studio, will be the second Golf Etc. of its kind in the world. The Mansfield franchisees are local residents Jeff Maison and his son, Bret Maison.

Golf Etc. Golf Tech Studio is an original concept that was piloted by Golf Etc. at the Monroe, N.C., store, which opened two years ago. Due to its remarkable success, expansion of the concept is launching nationwide, beginning with Mansfield. At the new location, customers get the benefit of the personal customer service Golf Etc. is recognized for, plus an almost exclusive focus on performance-fitting, custom club building, club repair and custom-ordered inventory.

Franchisees Jeff and Bret Maisons’ shared passion for golf ultimately led to their decision to bring the newest golf retail experience to Mansfield. Currently finishing up his degree at the University of Texas at Arlington, Bret previously worked for Golf Etc. at the corporate headquarters in Granbury, and believes in the company’s mission to provide a one-of-a-kind shopping experience for golfers.

As a young man, Jeff worked as an assistant golf pro. He also has several years of experience in retail management and currently works as a minister.

"Golf Etc. was just the natural, perfect fit for us," said Jeff Maison. "With Bret’s upcoming graduation from college, we just knew it was the right time. Golf has been something that has brought us together for years, and we are excited to bring Golf Etc’s one-of-a-kind service to our fellow Mansfield residents."

Golf Etc. has had more new store openings during the past three years than any other franchise of its kind. The company offers golf enthusiasts a welcome alternative to generalized sporting goods stores.

"We are excited to bring our personal approach and unparalleled performance fitting to the golfers in Mansfield with a Golf Etc. Tech Studio store," said Shane Hunt, CEO of Golf Etc Golf Etc. uses state-of-the-art launch monitors operated by trained club fitters to obtain the characteristics of each individual’s swing. Then, the customer’s swing is matched to the best, specific golf club. Golf Etc. also offers a simulator and putting green with the latest technology to provide customers with year-round training and practice facilities.
