The Food: Chicken, shrimp, oysters and hot wings
I realize that I’m not the target audience for this film. I realize that when director Sanaa Hamri, screenwriter Elizabeth Chandler and the four female leads decided to create a sequel to the cult teen hit based on the popular young adult chick-lit series, the last demographic they had in mind was the geeky, teenage male who wonders how often he can re-watch "The Dark Knight" before it officially becomes an obsession. They probably assumed we would all be watching "Pineapple Express." (Which I totally did.)
While I have been known, under extreme, extenuating circumstances, to bribe four little ones to go to bed without complaints with the promise of snow cones for breakfast the next morning, I generally try to provide healthy meals and snacks (or at least not the worst snack choices) when my grandchildren are visiting. With school just around the corner, I know many mothers (and grandmothers) are thinking about nutritious food for their precious ones, snacks and meals that will fuel their growing bodies for all the energy that they need as they head back to the classroom.

First United Methodist Church of Mansfield is launching a new program this fall called Letters from Dad. Part of a national men’s ministry developed by Greg Vaughn, this program helps fathers learn to leave a legacy to their families by saying the things they’ve always wanted to say but didn’t know how to, all through the lost art of letter writing. Letters from Dad not only teaches men "why" to write letters, they also learn the mechanics of letter writing and how to keep them preserved for posterity.
