In the heat of the summer, at the peak of the professional season, two Mansfield district baseball coaches have left their posts.

It’s an even numbered year, and it has been four years since the last summer games.

Summer sports camps are taking applicants for those interested in learning from the best that the Mansfield school district has to offer.

Some seasons end with the conclusion of the school year. Kids take the summer off, bathe in the sun and are generally care-free for the remainder of the summer.

The four Mansfield high schools cleaned up on the base paths this season, garnering a whole host of awards to end the season.
