Mansfield schools send four to all-academic team

Four baseball players from the Mansfield schools were named to the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association All-State Academic Team. Legacy had a player in its inaugural year and Summit not only won a district title, but had three players receive the honor of being among the brightest in the state.

Legacy’s Corey Fine was voted to the squad in Legacy’s first year. The academic standards from the coaches association is a higher standard, and athletes had to maintain that level throughout the season.

Summit’s Ryan Behmanesh, Toby Semler and Ryan Willnow also made the team. The three players were key members of a team that went the deepest in the playoffs in school history.
